    O-Pee-Chee Retro Blank backs?

    Hey all,

Pulled a Brad Stuart (Det) Blank back retro today. What's the deal with these? Are these SSP, 1/1?

Tried looking up info on them but didn't find much other than they exist and are hard to pull.

    Thanks for any info....

I don't think UD has ever released the print run information on them. The best estimate I've heard is around 10-15 of each were produced.

Interesting. Too bad I didn't pull a Crosby/Howe/Roy/Anybody who can play hockey. Although I guess for an O-pee-chee card it ain't a bad pull (seeing as how I bought 4 packs)....

These are insanely hard to find for player collectors. I have been lucky to find Black Backs of Hjalmarsson each year he has been in the set. I have only seen 1 or 2 for each year that he has been in the set. I'm sure a Wings collector would want it...

Very hard to find.... even if Brad Stuart has pretty limited appeal, I'm sure you'll get some interest. You may just have to wait for a while.

10-15 copies sounds about right... but who knows?

Not much collectivity there though on the last couple of years however. Some of them go for 99cents.

Gotta find the right buyer at the right moment on those. Some people go bananas for them.

Very true - the first couple years they did them there was a lot of interest, but the past couple seasons they have gone for quite a bit less.

Generally there's 1-2 blank backs per case. Very tough find for the player collectors unless you get lucky.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...
