yea, there is a good way to ship PWE... you can pay the extra .20 postage to have it not run through the machine. I've done this many times...

As I said, the video was more as proof of how the card arrived.... also, if you would have seen my email exchange with him on the trade, you would understand why I was so skeptical about it as well.... asking for paypal first... needing right away for a ticket... etc.

If he is old enough to drive, he is old enough to figure out how to ship a card... or at least one would hope so

Terrible job by the seller, obviously. I'm just surprised the card wasn't more damaged. I'm very lucky when it comes to PWE, I only accept PWE if it's a few cheap base cards.. I recently got an auto PWE from eBay.. they just had it in a soft sleeve in the envelope.. NOTHING ELSE and the card was in perfect condition oddly enough. The seller was on eBay a long time but never really sold cards, they buy storage units/stuff from garage sales and flip the stuff. I emailed the seller and told them to ship cards differently and with more care. But someone in the hobby should know PWE is a big NO-NO. I wonder if you can send it back to Topps for a replacement? It's a nice card, but with that ding it's only worth a fraction of what you paid for it. That seller deserves a nice big negative here.

At the very least he could have sent it in a toploader.. the plastic bag is a joke.

If you are worried about shipping charges you should not be buying, selling, or trading sports cards, period...

    Wow, that's just awful.

People that don't have the supplies needed to send cards...penny sleeves, top loaders, team bags, bubble mailers...shouldn't be selling or trading cards. Hell, I don't even sell or trade right now, but for the very few cards I've returned on Ebay, and the one card returned here, I had the common sense and respect for the seller to use them all. When I return a card now, I use all the above, add in a hard cardboard backer, and a layer of bubble wrap before it goes in the bubble mailer. It might add a little to the weight of the package, but it's worth it.

No way I'd ever send a valuable card in a pwe.

This sucks, joeylion. I'm sorry you had to go through this. Seeing who it is, I can guarantee I'll never trade with them.

I hope you get satisfaction on this.

First- I am going to assume the card was already damaged before it was sent. I say this because the seller wanted the money ASAP and probably knew it was damaged. Thus not wanting to wait for you to see the card the way it really was? Unless you saw pics of it and it wasn't damaged before?

Second- I had an ebay seller ship me a Hockey card /10 between 2 cardboard inserts in a bubble mailer. When I got the card it was folded in half! So this is why no matter how you send it needs to be in a top loader!

Third- Sorry about your luck. I can personally say I have never had a bad PWE experience! Every time the sender used a top loader. If you send PWE PLEASE DO IT RIGHT! Again sucks you got a dinged up card like that and hopefully you can work it out, Brad.
