    Question about MiLB Line-ups.

This is the first season I'm really following the players moves during Spring Training to their placement in the Minors for the purpose of getting TTM's out early and to be prepared for when good prospects will be in my area. So I have some newb questions.

It seems like placements are trickling in, since we're in the last week and a half of spring training is it easy to say we'll be seeing a lot of movement in the next week?

Some teams (Example The Trenton Thunder) Have had a partial roster up since the end of last season. I'm seeing the few new placements to Trenton have been added to the list, but still a lot of last seasons players are on it. Can you assume if a player is still on that list from last season and they weren't a Yankee invite to spring training they will most likely be starting the season in Trenton?

I also regularly keep an eye on the 'League Transaction' pages on MiLB.com. Will every players name be listed on there, or just players that were spring training invites that didn't make the 40 man roster or the active roster?

Thanks for any help, if I have any other questions I'll just post them in this thread.

Please note these rosters are for off-season purposes and do not necessarily reflect actual Opening Day rosters. Players will be assigned to Minor League teams at the conclusion of Spring Training.

From the bottom of the Clippers website...the MiLB rosters listed now are generally just for offseason purposes and not set in stone, aside from the guys who see have been optioned down. Indians pitcher Eric Berger told me last week that most of the guys have no clue what level they're going to be at until the end of the spring.

Here's an example that I'm confused about:

Just today MLB.com listed this on its Transaction page
"RHP Pat Venditte assigned to New York Yankees."

So does that mean he's now on the 40 man roster and will continue to work on one of the farm teams. I doubt they are jumping him from AA to the Yankees. He is a prefect example of a player I was hoping I don't miss in Trenton.

Be patient the baseball season is a nice long one! You can ch3eck the team websites a few days after their season starts or on opening day should you attend. I am sure that 2 weeks from now you will have the answers you are looking for.

That means he is on the 40 man, not the 25 man. No one has set their 25 man roster yet. Any minor league rosters you see are not set in stone. Even if you see a guy in a minor league spring training box score, most guys are playing up a level right now to fill on for the guys that are still in Major League camp. You would be best served to wait until the season starts to see where guys land.
