Expo spending
For those attending the Expo in Toronto next month, I'm just wondering if you have an amount in mind to spend, assuming you find things you like.
I guess I'm just curious how much spending goes on at these things....I am currently building my Expo fund.

One million dollars!

Like attending any other card show or just a trip to the LCS, it's always a good idea to have a budget in mind...and be prepared to blow it if you see something nice and shiny.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

It's funny. I usually have a price in mind of what the "max" I'll spend is.... but that max is usually much higher if I plan to break wax, lol.
I have often gone with friends of mine who don't collect cards, but they enjoy the show - they are big sports fans - and like looking at everything. I recall at least one time going with them, I spent the least amount of money (nothing). I've had other times where I walked in, and within 5 minutes I'd spent over my 'budget' on singles.

This year, I've been squirreling away my tax return, so I've got a grand to spend at the expo.
All depends on what you want to do. If you know you want to open boxes to get redemptions, then bring lots because it can be addictive ( says the guy who went from 'I won't buy any boxes' to eventually buying 7 boxes of Pinnacle).
If you're buying singles, its easier. If you have a broad PC or a popular player PC, you'll have an easy time finding your cards. If you have a Pc of someone less popular, you may find very little.

I'm gonna bring around 400 , I try to split it between single and boxes, and it always ends up getting completely spent LOL. I usually have what I'm looking for in mind before though (in terms of pc singles and what boxes i want)

I'm looking at taking $500 and I won't spend it all......I feel too guilty. My goal is to finish up a couple of long lingering Jersey/patch sets........look for a Lafleur Auto I need to complete an auto set.......pick up a couple of 06/07 Parkhurst autos and MAYBE add to the Luke Schenn PC....but that could all change between now and then.
Am I the only one who loves the buildup and the anticipation that starts pumping through these forums once the Expo becomes a visible date on the calendar???? I am pumped.
