I do think the Packers will win against my Vikes tonight, but the way you guys are talking about the Bears just will not happen. Will the Bears make the playoffs? Yes. Will they make it very far? Not likely. Theres just too many high powered offenses in the NFC. They score 16.9 per game and give up 11. And if you look at there schedule, they have only beat 1 playoff contender. That being last week verse Carolina. And you give up that little bit of points for there 11 points against per game because they played: Washington, Detroit, Cleveland (and lost, now who loses to Cleveland and does well in playoffs?), Minnesota, (with a depleted team at that point, and even more now), Baltimore and San Fran.

Yes, they lost to Washington, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. So what? Remember, the 3 losses came the first 4 weeks. It's easy for you to ramble that jive, but remember, we had a young 4th round rookie QB at the helm through those losses. He's managing the game now, and our defense is unstoppable. High powered offenses?? Well Carolina averaged over 30 points the past 2 games, we shut them down to 3.

High powered offenses mean nothing. Remember the points the Colts put on the board last year??? How many did they score against the Patriots? Yep, that's right...a whopping 3 points!! You can have all the offense in the world, but as the old saying goes, Defense wins championships.

I'm not saying we're going to go to the super bowl or win the super bowl this year, but this is a great sign of things to come. The 1985 Bears defense allowed more points at this point of the season than the 05 Bears have. I know this is like pissing in the wind since you are a Vikings fan and will never respect the Bears no matter how good they are, but in order to put up a legitimate argument, one must first know the facts and think before they type.

Either way, the Bears D is #1 in the NFL, no matter which way you flip it. 'Nuff said.

LOL...what part of Illinois are you from anyway?? I'm in Monticello, Indiana now, but grew up in Tinley Park. Was just curious. Figured why not get to know a fellow Bear Fan/Gloater a little better, lol!

Funny thing is, besides the Vikings and the Chargers, the Bears are the only other team I really root for. But I still dont think there that great. Sure there defense is pretty good, but I dont think its great. The only thing I have to say, and so did other on ESPN, was what team loses to CLEVELAND, a pretty big loss, and actually wins a division? The Vikings arent out yet, although I think they are close. And No, im not saying they will win, but all I can say is PACKERS WONT!!! And that makes my year. As long as the Packers dont win, im a happy guy.
