Western Conference Playoff Weekend
Wow it's Uber-tight in the West. Here's what it looks like going into tonight:
Position
3. Dallas - 89 Pts. 77 Games Played
7. Phoenix - 89 Pts. 78 Games Played
8. LA Kings - 88 Pts. 77 Games Played
9. SJ Sharks - 88 Pts. 78 Games Played
10. Col Av's - 86 Pts. 79 Games Played
11. Cal Flames - 85 Pts. 78 Games Played
The positions this past week have changed over 10 times. It's looking like Colorado has the toughest task at the moment, simply because they only hold a one point lead over the Flames, but with one more game played, but the Flames have a Bear of a last 4 games
After winning 3, the Sharks have Tanked (I'll be here all week) losing 2 in a row, they don't appear to want the control of their own fate.
Most teams finish within their own divisions on the last 2 games of the year, with the Kings/Sharks having a Home at Home series.
Phoenix have 3 easier games at home with Columbus and Minnesota, and a toughie on the road at Stl.
Colorado plays in Calgary tonight, then 2 at home to Columbus and Nashville.
Calgary have Colorado at home then an away and Home against the Canucks, finishing at home to the Ducks.
Dallas has the Sharks home and away, then Nashville on the road and a tough last game at home against the Blues.
I don't dislike any of the teams vying for the last 3 shakes of the dice. However, not plussed with Dallas (never have been) and the Flames don't deserve to even be close, as they and the Sharks have played the dumbest brand of Hockey this year.
I'm cheering Phoenix on, and the Elvises, don't really care who else sneaks in.

The craziest part so far has been when LA played Vancouver. If LA won they finished the night in 3rd. When they lost, they finished the night in 10th.
Crazy, crazy stuff.

Also neglected to mention that the Sharks play the Kings both away and at home for their last 2.
Should everyone else implode, that may be for 1 of the 3 playoff marbles.
