TTM question

I am thinking of sending some old base cards or Wendel Clark and Doug Gilmour away to be signed. Do you usually write them a note? do you give them a card to keep? quite new to this, any and all help would be appreciated. Thx guys

Yes you do write them a note (I will show you an example if you want.) if you want to you can include a card for them to keep.(I never have.)

I always write a half page letter expressing how I enjoyed their careers and if they are Pres.of a team or something,I congradulate them on furthering their careers,like Joe Dumars.People like to hear positive things about themselves and it makes them know they are appreciated.Also,when you check into the TTM page,make sure you send to the address with the most up to date successses.If you see one with many successes and then all of a sudden failures start happening,normally means they changed jobs and moved on.Hope this helps! ~~Dave C.

If you have any questions, I've got thousands of returns on TTM.

Write a brief note to them and be sure to make some note of their career, something you liked about them or something. Then ask nicely if they could autograph your cards.

Always include a self addressed stamped envelope.
I usually do 2-3 cards and if I have duplicates I'll mention they can keep some if they want.
I take that, plus an index card(for protection, but some guys will sign it) put that in the flap of your SASE(usually a small white envelope) then toss that inside your folded letter. Put that all in a long white envelope addressed to them.

I also put my address as the return address on the back of the envelope coming back to me. So either way it gets sent back.

I have sent to both and both were sucessful, I always send a letter (page long for me). Usually saying who I am, how much of a fan i am of the leafs. Aswell, i mention how i collect cards and how it would be amazing for them to sign a card for me. I sent to the Kingston Frontinacts for Doug and Wendel's sports bar. Good Luck !
