This is a growing trend among many hobbyists of late. There have been a couple of discussions about the "I'll pass" phenomenon.

I think it is polite to people to say sorry I will pass...
What would rather them do? just ignore you ?

That's the reason I say 'I'll pass'. If I don't like the price and there's not much wiggle room, I pass, plain and simple.

some of you guys dont seem to get it, maybe it is the ones who only buy stuff and dont sell on here too....
I think it is rude! I am taking the time out to answer your request and you cant even give me the chance of negotiating price on the card you are looking to purchase.
It is like asking a girl out and she wont give you the time of day she just says no thank you.

I see nothing wrong with saying "I'll pass". At least you got a response, unlike many people on here who ask for prices then never message back. That's not cool, but if someone responds back "I'll pass" I'm fine with that...sounds like you take things too personal..

no just when you get it over and over again, it is like take the time to negotiate a price with me, I mean I had a guy say it to me and then I say what were you looking to pay, well he wanted to pay $3 on a card I asked $4 on, I mean come on it is a $1 just tell me, we ended up making a deal and then I had another card he wanted and he bought that too...I do flea markets all the time and it is amazing how people just want to save a $1 or $2, and I always let them, why because I would rather sell the item then not sell it at all if that is the difference...
but on here I look at ebay and base a price on that off completed and sometimes that still is not good enough they want to pay half that most people on here.

Well come on man. You should know well enough by now since you have quite a few feedback, that people on here along with any other card website want cards for cheap.
You can't base a price off ebay per say. If you are wanting to sell a card and you go on ebay to completed listings and see a similar one sold for $50, then you come on here and ask $50, that wouldn't make sense.
If I buy from someone on a forum, they are not having to pay ebay fees, which would bring the example card down to $45 or so on ebay after fees. If I buy on here I would want below that because I can pay you now. On ebay you have to wait days for your auction to end and then sometimes days for the buyer to pay. If you're wanting to sell and need the money now then I would expect a lower price on the card since I would be saving you TIME and MONEY compared to ebay.
I think that's why many people on here ask for a price, see something way over want they want to pay and just say I will pass.
It's really not that big of a deal man. I understand your frustration, but just move on. If someone saying "I'll pass" to you, frustrates you then you must get frustrated extremely easy.

yea but over a few dollars come on...it is getting ridiculous on here....then you get the few who say it is your card name the price and when you do it is still not good...basically the theme is do not waste someones time if you cannot make the effort to negotiate with the seller..
