I am a newcomer to this forum but am interested in trading. My collection is pretty modest as I only just got back into it; have mostly late 70s through early 90s, and not in mint condition for the most part (I was a kid). Is there a FAQ here on how to get started?

Also silly question perhaps, just trying to learn ... where you have set up "groups" for each month, that would mean that you would send a lot to each other member in the group, correct? So current numbers mean you're sending out 2-3 lots per month?

I'd love to get involved, Blue Jays fan here but I also notice nobody has mentioned the Expos - I grew up watching them both.

The only sticking point I can think of is that as mentioned most of my cards are not in perfect shape - I don't mean they are full of holes or anything but there may be some signs of wear - would this be considered an insult? My personal thought is when it comes to older cards (25+ years) it can be difficult to find mint or near mint condition but I don't want to make any enemies :)

The basic rules are posted on the first post on page 1.

What we do is we trade team-for-team. Once you are assigned a group, you'll be trading with different people. The members in the same group with you will trade within the group once every six months, and that falls in July & January. I will put you down for the Blue Jays & Expos, and we'll get you started May 1. Welcome aboard, eh?

Only other question goes back to the cards - are people here only interested in new 2012 mint cards? My collection is almost exclusively vintage.

Ask around. Don't be afraid to send PM's to some of the other members, who can give you more advice than I have already.

I rec'd a nice lot from Fyretiger today. She sent a in-person autograph of Kevin Mitchell (on a '87 Donruss card), and included a Lawrence Taylor card (NY Giants) I wasn't aware of before. Awesome!
