Need Help With an E-Bay Listing

Where and what would you list this for?

2009-10 Upper Deck YG HG 462 Devan Dubnyk RC PAR /10 EDM n/a

He's heating up and would be a hot commodity around the Edmonton area but I am hesitant to mail something with a higher cash value to Canada because of the risk of mail fraud/lack of confirmation.

Any ideas as to what to do? I would like to flip it before the end of the NHL season.

I picked up my copy just before Christmas for $50 dlvd. so i'm guessing the sell value would now be between $50-$100 depending on the collector. As for shipping just make sure you charge them for insured with a signature upon arrival. It costs more to ship but it covers you if something goes wrong. -Brock-

What Canada shipping price should I set for the insured with signature due upon arrival?

If it were me (I've sold higher end stuff on eBay to the States before, so I think the same would work).

I'd list it for something like $125 BIN / BO. Offer free shipping - with tracking.

I don't know exactly what that will cost you, but for me to send a card with tracking to the USA costs about $25. If the sellling price is high enough - then you're still up on the deal.

Think of it like this. A lot of people object to high shipping costs, and will avoid listings that have them. $75 with free shipping is okay, but they wouldn't pay $50 for the card + $25 shipping.

I think you'd be crazy to list it, and not ship to Canada. That's where you're going to get most of your bids. Just need to make sure you protect yourself.

That would avoid a lot of problems if, in fact I can sell it for that much.

It looks good to me, but you may want to mention in the description that the shipping will include tracking? Then buyer's know that they're getting a premium shipping method with their purchase.

And yes - $125 might be a bit high (though I think you can probably hit $75 on it... maybe more) but you never know.

You never know. Edmonton fans can be weird sometimes, though $65 sounds about right.
I'm also gonna say that, while I'm speculating, I think Dubnyk is going to turn into one heck of a goaltender and his value could rise.

I'm sorry but this part of the statement really gets me, but I am hesitant to mail something with a higher cash value to Canada because of the risk of mail fraud/lack of confirmation. I do understand but it makes it sound like only in Canada will you find fraud and scams. Your risk of sending to Canada and not getting paid or getting scammed is no more than shipping within the states.
