    What's the deal with the smaller numbers on the hem of the jersey?


    Retired numbers.

    I'm guessing they represent retired players numbers, but why two #9's? Can you retire the same number twice.
    Would be cool to pull a Lundqvist card with the Richter number in the swatch!

    1. Andy Bathgate plays for Rangers, and retires. He is not "retired" for whatever reason (I'm guessing they didn't retire numbers back then)
    2. Adam Graves joins the Rangers, sets records, and helps them win the cup.
    3. Graves retires
    4. Gaves has his number retired
    5. Bathgate has his number retired
