hot packs
dredging up an old issue i'm sure but i searched the mma forums for it and theres not much on it.
so who has bought them and what have you got?
who detests them and why?
mainly intesteted because i watch them on ebay and can't understand why some, under the same listing and description, will go for $2 and the other will go for $20+. i get all the variables involved so it doesn't make sense, does it just boil down to a "lottery" mentality like 'this particular' one will yield a huge hit?
i've bought 2 so far and have had decent luck. under one listed as "guaranteed memorablia" i got a couture belt plate and from one listed as "guaranteed auto/memo" i got a phil davis onyx contenders auto(that my dumb arse sold before i set in on collecting him).
i think i'm mainly asking this because there was a listing recently on ebay that guaranteed a redemption auto in a sealed hobby pack. how is that possible to find out without opening the pack? i know you can weigh them(mainly for relics), feel them(mainly for relics). and in a retail pack you can possibly see what you're getting, but in a sealed hobby pack is it really possible to guarantee an auto redemption?

Only thing I can think of would be the weight of that pack if it is a hobby pack of Knockout. If not redemptions are normally cut longer/shorter than other cards.

On title shot packs it is easy to see right through the white wrapper.

Title Shot value rack packs- pack fillers had a curve to them...hits were straight and thicker. This was consistent. I was 100% on that strategy while they were out.
