Welcome to the site. A lot of very knowledgeable people here. You can check on the bay of what the cards have been selling for (SV). You could also get a Beckett subscription to see what the book value (BV) is. Again, welcome to the site...Rick

Welcome aboard to SCF! Always great to see new members sharing their interests.
I say "collect what you like, not what others like" A card can be extraordinary at .50 cents just as a 100 buck card. Its all in the eyes of the beholder. If you're just starting out,I'd do a lot of "just looking around"to get familiar at what's out there.Concentrate on your favorite sport and go from there.Collect your fav. player, team or HOFers if you're into the vintage stuff.Way too much out there and you can get overwhelmed very easily.Good luck in your pursuit of collecting!!! ~~Dave C.

Hello Allen, welcome to SCF! We have all been where you are and many times I still feel overwhelmed with all the product. I have found that you collect what is appealing to you and that you can afford. Also to keep it under control have a definite focus for your collection....work on collecting a certain player, team, or set. That tends to keep you from getting caught up in the "What should I buy?" trend. Hope that helps a bit....and if you need anything please do not hesitate to ask.

Most cards numbered that low won't list a price due to scarcity. Welcome to the site!
