The 1st year UD did them, they were all the same number (except for double letters - i.e. my Matt Holliday set - all #/37 except for the two L's #/74 to make 37 possible sets)

The next couple of years they made the By the Letters in various 'tiers' that are each numbered differently. You can tell by the different pictures used on the side bar as well.

I've seen a few Tulowitzki sets here in Denver that are mismatched as well because getting all the letters from the same tier is a pain in the @$$.
