    What ever happened to stats?

I opened a box of cards the other day, looked at the back of a card and asked myself "Whatever happened to career stats on back of a card?"

Was always cool to check out how a player did in the past. Or pull a legend and awe at their stats from the past. Yes I know most base sets have stats on them.

Just wondering if anyone else thought the same thing. I miss looking at these!

It really depend on the brand. For instance O-Pee-Chee as all the stats, other brand not so.

I used to read all of the stats when I was 7 or so in the mid/late 80's.. then I'd write my initials on the card in pen..

Bahahaaaa I might have owned a few of those cards here and there!!! I don't really miss the stats so much, but I do like a little story about the player...........
