    Question about returned stamps

I have received some photo mailers back with the stamps free of any postmarking. Has anyone ever reused the stamps? They are worth a $1 a piece and would save my some money.

    Thanks

It's illegal by federal law. However, it seems that some do not have a problem re-using. While I am not one to re-use, I am not going to throw rocks from my glass house either.

This thread topic was a nuclear meltdown on SCN lol.

I say re-use 'em. I do. I'd say about half of my 8x10 SASE's aren't stamped/crossed out so I peel em off slowly, and glue stick them to another SASE.

Look at it like this.. How many of your TTM requests never come back? That stamp you paid for will never get used. I'd say there's far more of those in our hobby than stamps that are re-usable.

If you are to re-use them,I would suggest not using tape to make them stick if stickiness has somewhat diminished.Any covered stamps will get RTS.Trust me I know, seeing I handle covered stamps on occasion when I'm delivering mail!

Technically it is, but they don't really have any proof that you're reusing it. For all they know you could have stuck it on the wrong envelope or something and peeled it off to avoid wasting it.

i would just make sure to only re-use on the envelopes you send to people, not the ones you expect them to send back- that way, if it doesnt work, it gets RTS'ed to you, as opposed to getting RTS'ed to the person who you are hoping for an autograph from

no question about it. It makes up for all the damaged mail I get, and all the missing TTM's I dont.

Technically it's wrong, but the US Post office continues to raise prices. Some of the reasons they have to raise prices is because of ignorance of the USPS, and their failure to deliver in a timely manner, and deliver un damaged items. If they would process the mail correctly this wouldn't be a problem. If the kid at McDonalds give you extra fries do you
    A. Eat them
    B. Throw a $ on the counter
    C. Insist on paying for them
