I understand what you're going through. It's been hard selling on the boards lately for me, especially my mid end to lower high end stuff. For example, I posted a thread on a Kevin Love Auto Swatch for $35 dlvd #/99 for at least a month, all I got was people trying to talk me down to the $20-25 range. I posted the card on ebay a few days ago, card was sold within a day for $45 dlvd. Same thing with a Durant auto #/25 I had going for a few weeks for $135 dlvd, got several people who wanted to get it at around $100, and even when I budged and gave them a deal at $125 if they bought a couple of other cards, I still got PM's that basically rudely stated that they could get it cheaper on ebay and I was ripping them off. I posted that same auto on ebay several days ago for $150, it was sold for $150 within a day. I understand that there is more exposure and people on ebay, and there are many low ballers there too, but selling on the forums have not been fun lately (even though there are still good buyers out there).
I left selling singles on ebay for selling on the forums a long while back; but with the way things are going I'll probably start selling more singles on ebay again.

A good solution to your problem. if you don't want people to low ball you with offers, then you should just list a price for your cards instead of doing the taking offers only approach on here. Or even easier, to end the frustration, list them on EBAY.

yes I know ray , I have tried all different ways lol you post a price and say firm and they still ask whats you best price lol or is that the lowest you can go , or I can find it cheaper on ebay hence the reason I wrote the small rant , if you notice I put LOL in the heading , seems no one really reads anymore , or ingnores it completely and just looks at the cards , several times I post a prices and well you know lol , also I find that if I dont list a price or list best offer it is easier to weed out all the low offers without wasting time going back and forth , also I like to trade so when I sell a card I have trading in the back of my mind so it opens the door more for more opportunities to maybe find a card I wasnt thinking about ,
so I appreciate the suggestion but I have tried them all lol I am simplying posting this rant to let everyone know I am done with the cheap crap , lowballing and I am not here for you to make money off of , now keep in mind that doesnt mean I want more than ebay , it doesnt mean I dont give deals and bargins , what it means is I am sick and tired of having a card that is easy selling for $150 on ebay and getting offers with excuses of $100 or less , end of story lol ,
what is really hard to is to sell one card that only sells for $10 to $15 , it is tough to give a big bargin considering shipping is $2.50 , unless it goes PWE , and that isnt always the best choice to save a buck or two lol ,
example card sells for $10 plus 1.99 to ship off ebay , so that really $12 lol , I offer the same card for $9 dlvd , and what I get is offers of 5 to 7 dlvd , whats wrong here you ask , well if I sell it for 7 ,it cost me $2.50 to mail ,, so I am only getting $4.50 for the card , sorry I am not into letting things go like that , I am finding now it is better to sell on ebay , more exposer , no lowballing , I would rather pay the 12 percent of sale and sell on ebay , I get more for my cards overall , and thats what I want lol

IMHO, as a seller you will be dealing with many kinds of buyer..
not all of them are lowballer, not all of them are nice, not all of them are bad...
just deal with it, and let's just be happy you still have some people interested in your card(s)..
some says if you think of everything in a positive ways, a lot of positive things will eventually come to you.. :)

that's just the nature of the beast. eBay is a buy/sell market and a bid or offer is more binding than on a message board. People on a message board are certainly going to negotiate just like they will at a shop or at a show. eBay is official with bids and offers and message boards simply can't be. Too many maybe about that. I stick to selling on ebay as it's rarely worth the time and effort selling on message boards.

yeah star cards I agree ,ebay is where I will probably concentrate more selling on ,
Arashi , ya got me wrong , not saying they are all bad or all are lowballers , and for just deal with it lol , hence rant , and for be happy to still have some people interested in my cards , ok , the best thing ya said was the positive thinking twist will result in positive things , I am a believer in Karma which is what your talking about ,I am always looking for the positive twist or side of things, I notice most the lowballing is on highend cards ,
I have no problem with cards under $100 , in fact it is easy and quick , for the better ones it where it happens more , as I tried explaining ,when I sell cards ,99 % of the time I am thinking if I can trade I will do that instead , but I also like to sell to just take the money and go to ebay and buy a nicer PC card , I do this allot , really dont need the money , I dont do this for a living lol , I love collecting , just get a little urked when, what I am talking about has been happenning more and more lol , but I just ignore them , eventually I find the right buyer or serious trader ,
drtom2005 , whats up doc lol , sent ya a Pm , maybe you can use the Howards , thanx for the post
