Kids and Their Autographs These Days
It is a growing trend these days that young players just don't put in a lot of effort into their signatures.
Well, here's another 19-year old we can add to the list:

I kid of course. For those that don't know, Henri Richard was born on February 29, 1936. While he is actually 76 years old now, there have been 19 February 29th's since then.
I have noticed a bit of a drop-off in his signature in the past year or so. I hope that the Pocket Rocket remains strong and healthy for many more birthdays to come. It'd be a real shame if he never got to legally drink in the US. :)
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

That's so true!
I love to see card (like Private Signatures) signed by older players fro, the past, theirs signature is so beautiful compared with many newcomers.
I do remeber that a young Viktor Kozlov in 94 or what... signed some BAP-cards with just V.K. that's just plain lazines, but many do improves within a few years.
But I can sometimes understand... stars sometimes can signing +10.000 cards/memorabilias/photos/etc across a year and hockeyplayers uses hands more than in many other sports especially goalies so they want minimizing the risk of stress in hands?

I think it's the schools. I know that we went over hand writing once in 3rd grade and then never spoke of it again (I'm 17) The curriculum was probably more handwriting oriented back when Gretzky/Lemieux/Bourque went to school.

They don't teach handwriting in our district anymore, what with the kids getting laptops to use throughout the school year. But supposedly they still teach you how to write your name out. Unbelievable.
