    Damaged Painted Canvas Card!

I also got a Reggie Jackson painted sketch card from a box of museum collection. I allready sent it back with damaged tribute and museum base.
The top left border had a huge ding and the bottom right corner was grossly
crushed. It was a 2/10 and i sent it back along with the other cards with all the proper documentation. All cards were protected. My question is, will Topps
replace the painted card even though it is a 2/10? That was one of the best cards I have ever gotten. I have a sick feeling that I am SOL. Anyone had this experience before?

Topps may or may not replace, depending whether or not they have a back-up copy.

Call and speak to customer service, or send an e-mail. BE VERY POLITE and explain the situation. Do not act entitled or angry. And, most of all, be understanding if they do not have a replacement copy. If they say they don't, once again, very politely, ask if they would exchange a similar card from another set for your damaged piece.

The card companies are much more inclined to help collectors who understand that sometimes crap happens. When people take an angry tone, or make demands, the customer service reps tend to not WANT to help you.
