This is the place for all discussions about the Penguins/Flyers series.
vs.
Hold on to your hats, this could be quite a ride. The animosity level for this series was dialled up several notches a couple weeks ago - not that it really needed it. This will be "old time hockey" in all likelihood, and there are also so many tremendously skilled players on both sides that it will make for some absolutely riveting action. After Nashville/Detroit, probably the toughest series to try to predict.
And now, some administrative notes...
As things have occasionally gotten out of hand with the playoffs discussion threads in recent years, some rule reminders:
- All SCF Rules apply to these threads. Violations for language and personal attacks will not be tolerated.
- Staff will, at their discretion, remove any posts that are considered to be disruptive. This includes flaming, trolling, and hijacking. We will make every effort to keep these threads going for the duration of the series, but if it is found that people cannot be civil the thread will be locked and infractions will be handed out.
- Keep the comments about the game and the players on the ice.

Should be a fun series. I think whoever wins will be the favorite to win it all, personally.

Can't wait to watch this series, feel bad for the winner no matter who it will be. Both teams will be drained after this series.

Looking forward to seeing this series, should be awesome
I will go out and say penguins in 6 games, maybe even 5
the true test in this series will be goaltending, Fleury is awesome and proven winner and cup winner already, so advantage goes to penguins

Pens will win the series in 7 games! It is going to be the best series in the 1st round to watch! Pens will then go on and beat Boston in 5 games and then the NYR in 6 games to make the finals.

Go Pens!
Going to Philly to see Game 4. How sick would it be for them to be up 3-0 at that point?!

If I'm Philly I stick to the "Whiners" like glue, let the other players beat us. Every time they touch the puck hit them or make them uncomfortable. With all the discussion lately about them getting away with murder, test the waters early to see how the refs will call the action. Goad them into retaliation and stickwork, frustrate them. Setting the tone early needs to be the mantra to get them off their game, even if it means dropping a game. The longer the series wears on, the better it bodes for Philly being the more physical team. I think MAF has been shaky this year, get in his grill and make him uncomfortable as well. With that being said, I see the Pens winning in 7, but hope for the Flyers so the Bruins can get a little more payback for 2010.

I don't agree, I think their D has been shaky as hell this year, and MAF has bailed them out. But hey, that's my opinion.
