Opinions on eTopps
I'm not big on the original concept of eTopps with the whole "follow your card's value in the market" thing, but I do like the cards and know they were printed in limited numbers.
My question is that I see people selling eTopps cards on eBay and i wonder if they are as limited as Topps claimed. I bought one from a seller about a year ago. since then I have seen that same seller, listing the same eTopps card (player / year) at least 10 more times. Is it possible for one person to have 11 eTopps cards of the same player? Maybe was this one of those Pacific type things that when Topps got out of the hobby market they dumped all their cards?
Also - what do you guys think about the cards in general? Worth buying?Hidden Content

If you ask me, this was a flop. It started in 2000 and the concept was a bit weird. Like trying to make the card look like a action. But you see that now it's is simply not popular any more.
Check wickipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etopps
On January 9, 2012, Topps announced on the eTopps.com webpage that it would no longer be selling new IPOs, but would continue trading, selling, and shipping existing eTopps cards. In total, 2,974 unique eTopps cards were issued, with a total print run of 3,986,192.
if you look at how many cards and total print run, you come to a average of more then 1,000 of each cards issued. So how can this retain value over time compare to the lower print run we are now used.
So I don't really think it worth getting them unless you collect specific player that you want in your collection. I just find the concept very weird and maybe did make sense in 2000 but not in 2012.
