He wasn't KOed completely you could see him cover up after the ref stepped in. I'm a Stann fan and agree he's a hero to everyone being that he's served in the Marines and isa very good fighter but, he wasn't out completely.

Guess its a discretion thing...Unconscious no...but he went crossed eyed, while not completely cold cocked, the lights were on but nobody was home...or as the MMA officials like to call it..."Unable to defend themselves..."

It was more of a flash ko as he went limp after the 2 shots. If Stann or the ref didnt stop it i believe Sakara would have went out cold.

Yeah, i mean i'm not saying it was premature cause like you said a couple more shots and he would've been out cold. Stanns a hard hitter he has to fight his way back up now since the loss to Sonnen.

Agree completely...I like that term "flash KO"... sums it up well, to me it just showed respect.

Mark Hunt Comes to mind too, he smashed Chris toushy with a uppercut and didn't follow him to the ground, just walked away with his hands up. I always like when fighter's don't go out to "kill" the other guy, but do enough for the win. When a fighter is out and still getting hit, my stomach tightens and i get a bad taste in my mouth.
