    Question GU NHL Sticks ????? HELP PLEASE

    Anyone whos into GU Sticks know how to track the stick based on plate #, if thats even possible?

    Anything that was made for pro use would have those serial numbers on it (I assume that's what you mean by 'plate'). Not sure if the manufacturers would even open up their database to the public for something like that..... but I would think that based on the serial number, a manufactuer should have the ability to confirm that the stick was made for 'X Player' on 'X Team' on 'X Date'.

    To use that number to verify if it was actually used - no idea. I doubt it.

    I have one that I bought in Nashville a couple of years ago, of Jarrod Smithson. Using it as an example - I'm sure that Easton could confirm they made it special for him (as part of a batch) but it would be up to the team to present a certificate of some kind to back up authenticity of it being game used...... and in this case, no such certificate came with it.... and looking at the stick I would be surprised if it ever got passed the stick rack.... but for $50 I had an S19 (retail $300) and is easily the best stick I've ever played with.
