Passed to day at 71 from Cancer.

2 interesting tidbits about the band.

1. Levon was the only American member, the rest were Canadian

2. Though the credit of discovery often goes to Bob Dylan, they were actually originally known as The Hawks, back up band to another music legend Ronnie Hawkins.
