Basketball Noobie Help
So I've been collecting football cards my whole life, but I've been wanting to break into basketball for some time now. I have no idea which box to buy.
Can anyone give me any suggestions on what box a new collector should buy? Thanks!

do you have any players or rookies you like yet in basketball ? like all sports there are a ton of choices , lol budget , who and what ya like , if your looking for something that can produce big hits ,or something with decent hits ,best odds and stacked rookie class ,
personally I say 2008/09 basketball is a safe try . great rookie class , allot of superstars and legend autos and patches in products ,
how much you have to spend lol

What do collect high end, mid-range or low products? Do you collect autos, jerseys, or parallels?

I collect everything from mid to high level. I'm a T-Wolves fan, so anything Kevin Love and Rubio are wanted.

Well you'll want to start maybe lower end. 08-09 topps chrome for Kevin Love and 09-10 topps for Rubio.
Mid range for those years would be SPX or SPA for 08-09. 09-10 SP or panini playoff contenders.
High end for 08-09 would UD black, ultimate collection, and equisite. 09-10 would be panini gold.

the same companies have made the same cards for years. whatever you did collecting football is really no different than basketball regarding boxes to buy, value, and sets for the most part.

Are you into eBay or box breaking? I wouldn't suggest going into high end too fast, although unfortunately, most of the products out there is over priced.
If you like basketball, pick something unique and go from there. Going straight into the big time players will require some serious coin, and buying lots and lots of a middle fiddle player is just wasting $.
