Returning to the Hobby
First, glad to find this forum.
I collected cards as a kid in the late '80s and early '90s, when I thought I was going to get rich on my old basketball cards that my parents got rid of after I had longed moved out of the house. Glad to see that most of those cards are not worth what I had one day hoped they would be.
I am a big college basketball fan and really started getting back into the NBA the past two years - cards just seem to be a natural way to stay up with those I love to watch play.
I am really doing this for enjoyment instead of trying to make a buck. I been buying a couple boxes and former KU players cards online, mostly focusing on Cole Aldrich and Xavier Henry. The hobby has really changed with jerseys, autographs, and both on cards. I always thought the fun part was completing the basic set- now it seems like the subsets and tricolor jersey is the way to go.
One question I do have is the card size. I am still not sure what size top loaders I should buy for what cards. I think 55 will work with most basic cards while the 80 (?) will work for the jersey. Some that I previously bought seem to small. Also any idea about what size magnetic holders I should use for the Panini Prestige booklets? I have one that came with an ebay order, but not sure if it is a 180 or not. The seller had no ideas.
Thanks and sorry for all the questions.

Welcome back.
I like the statement that cards help you to stay up to speed with the players you follow. That's good insight.
I'm also learning about how to connect which top loaders to all the cards.
Look forward to seeing you around.
