This Seems To Happen Too Often
First off,let me start by saying this is a great site, and I hope to do many more sales, purchases, and trades here....But....lately I have become frustrated by the amount of times deals seem to be done, only to never hear from the other party again...5 times in the last month I have had deals apparently done with none of them ever materializing...In one instance I spent about a half hour looking for a card I knew I had that the buyer wanted so he could have it autod at the upcoming expo by Gilbert Perreault. We agreed on a price, chatted a bit about the expo, and then poof, hes gone..I have no problem with someone changing their mind but is it so hard to let the other party know??
Sorry for the rant, just getting a little flustered.

I think if you are going to deal (buy, sell, or trade) on this site, you should and must always take the time to repond to all PM's and posts and frankly "forgetting" isn't a good enough excuse. There are too many reminders, as an example when you sign on, the system informs you of PM's waiting.
Common courtesy should be first and foremost.
My 2 cents.
James.

+1 James
alot of people sometimes believe their time to be so important that there is no time to even send a 1 line PM as a courtesy.
I have a hard time believing it, rude is rude.

Yeah I hear ya, this has been a big thing with me as well. I like to just get my deals talked thru and done. But I've learned that ya just have to bite the bullet and deal with it. Some people are either busy or just inconsiderate.
I feel a PM stating your busy or the reason why you haven't been able to finish a deal would be appropriate. It irks me alot when I see a guy has been online and not answered a PM related to a deal. But with how things are today ya can't tell if the person was really on the site. One guy I trade with on here as some device with his SCF info on it and I think anytime he uses it, it may show he logged in. So that can be deceiving.
Best thing to do is just cut people some slack. I know can be annoying if you find cards for someone, but I've learned to not pull anything til a trade has been confirmed in the trade manager. Then if they start messing around and not doing anything then you can at least dispute the issue.

Because of this, I have a love and hate relationship with this site. Don't get me wrong, I myself have 15 deals on this site and those were more or less pretty simple to get done. Of course people always respond faster if you are buying from them, just the way it is. But even the times when I want to buy a card and it takes days on days to get a reply it throws me off as well.
it literally takes 5 seconds to simply say no if you don't want a deal anymore. Just respect and courtesy as some guys have already said here.
also not sure if this is on topic but something I find extremely funny on this site is when people post a WTB thread and specially say post a scan and will NOT look at buckets and then I see people post a few seconds, "see my bucket..." LOL.... sorry... get's me everytime....

Definitely easier to make a list than to post scans of everything. I literally hate posting scans. I am on a couple of other groups and that's how it goes though post in your album( I only post the good stuff) But setting up the scanner with cards is a pain.
Much easier for a list. I've even tried to post the link to my inventory manager on here directed right to hockey cause I deal mainly in hockey. People just don't want to do it.

Actually the funniest ones are the sellers trying to sell something and stating I am taking offers only, but I have a ball park range with what I am looking for. Its like trying to play a guess my price game.

There are many lines in the water, some are just fishing, not really wanting to catch anything.
You can expect to not hear from others about 30% of the time, that's simply the way it is.

I have to say Ive been falling into that category. When I get a break in between studying and finals I usually try and come on here and make a deal. Sometimes I go back to studying and completely forget the fact that I posted a thread or PM'ed someone. I just have to say sorry to the people I haven't messaged back, Im not trying to but its happening and it bothers me a little bit. I try and message people back if I like their price or not it just seems like common courtesy. Im done finals on Tuesday and then I should be able to respond to all PM's and send the courtesy out that is needed. Sorry again if I offended anyone.
