    Interesting Panini experience

Last May I bought a pack of Pinnacle Hockey and scored a tough times Jay Miller redemption auto. I was excited as these are on card autos of players from the 70's. I saw some on ebay selling in the high $20 range. I assumed that I would get the card quickly since people already had the card in hand. This was not the case. I sent Panini messages after 3, 6 and 9 months. Finally I called last month and the lady told me they no longer had any of the cards and would send me a $25 replacement card. I was satisfied but irritated that they didn't respond to my initial attempts to contact them and that they didn't immediately send a replacement since my redemption was for a card that they were out of.

My replacement was a 11-12 Certified Jeff Skinner auto g/u #d/25 which was just fine. I have tried to trade it with no luck on this very site. The card showed up about three weeks ago.

Yesterday I got an envelope in the mail from Panini America. What did it contain? You guessed it. Pinnacle Tough Times Jay Miller on card auto. Anyone else had a similar experience? Did the Panini lady lie to me when she said they didn't have anymore? Why'd they send it to me after replacing it?

There is no way they ran out of it. If you turned in your redemption then one should go to you. It wouldn't make sense for you not to get one unless the card was never made or something, but you saw them on ebay. Don't see how lying about it would help them. She probably just didn't know. At least ya came out with an extra card out of it.
