Card buying obession
I haven't collected in 5 years, now I can't help it when I go to a store like Walmart to pick up a pack or 2 or 3. I'm buying a bunch of stuff in ebay auctions, got a couple Bowman football boxes, one 2003 and one 2005, and 3 boxes of WWE heritage to hopefully pull some cool event used, giving 2 of them boxes to cousins as Christmas presents. (got a great deal) But, damn, it's so awesome to rip open packs and see what you can get, I can do it for hours, haha, but I don't have the money to throw away on it. Man this is a fun and addicting hobby.

It has literally got to the point, that I recently had to put my cards away. I was spending so much money a month, that other things were falling by the wayside. Having them out was so tempting I had to hide my stuff in the closet.......pathetic isn't it!!

Funny thing they always compare Addictive things to Nicotine, crack, etc...
I think Cards would give EVERYTHING a run for the Adictive money :)

I only bring $20 with me each time I go to target, you know, just enough for a couple packs.

I know what you mean...
A couple weeks ago, I went to my local shop intent on just making a few trades and maybe spending $40 at most.
Well, $240 later, I had some very sweet cards, but a pissed off wife. It was stupid, but I couldn't resist. It was like those mini-boxes of Leaf Limted and Prime Patches were calling out to me, saying "Open me! It's only $75!" Well, it adds up very quick when you are ripping packs like that.

Yah i agree, cards can be compared to other addictive things like Drugs and food.
For instance yesterday after the Colts lost I was so bummed out and depressed that I went to the card store and bought $30 on packs. It was weird, because I felt that opening packs was the only thing that could make me happy. lol. and I did feel better after I busted those packs, even though I pulled nothing.

well i guess its bad when i'm tempted to open Christmas gifts for the event used and autos. Please don't keep chastising me, because I'm sure we all had evil thoughts, much worse than opening cards. Don't hold it against me for coming out about it. ;)
