wade is not even the same player this year, westbrook has dominated the majority of thunder games, there was even talk of westbrook as mvp candidate for awhile, while wade was hurt most of yr lebron carried the team, and no one has consider wade an mvp candidate, and dont get me started about bosh

Do you, ya know, actually watch basketball?

They should just start calling it the NBA's Most Statistically Excellent Award rather than MVP.

Which is why I say the real MVP never wins the award in most sports. I didn't think Rose was the MVP last year and I don't believe LeBron is the MVP this year.

Chris Paul was the MVP this year, he completely turned around the Clippers, and without him, they are a lottery team.

Wade was hurt most of the year? Really?

If you're gonna discredit Durant for having Westbrook, then you HAVE to discredit LeBron for having Wade (who is their closer) AND Bosh.

The criteria changes each year. That's why I don't give it much thought. Last year it was Rose because he was the best player on the team with the best record. Couldn't do that this year. When Durant wins, it'll be because he leads the league in scoring. Lebron's stats have been almost identical since year 2 so, if that's the criteria, they owe him 5 more..... But the common trait seems to be popularity.

Considering the Heat didn't even win the east with the reigning mvp out for a third of the season, i thought that would have been enough to take the honor away from him. I thought KD should have gotten the nod this year.

Parker should have been 3rd. Reason? Ever shifting starting lineup, Ginobili misses a month (comes back and misses more time), Rookie ends up starting, LOSE YOUR BACKUP then returns gets hurt and retires, three crucial pieces added late season yet the team doesn't miss A STEP. Best record in the West AGAIN despite resting guys along the way. 3 double digit win streaks in a 66 game schedule. People forget they rested the guys when those win streaks were snapped. This guy led the charge.

Voting, imo, just shows that popularity influences the award.
