    Baseball HOFers

I have one baseball left from dozen that I bought, and need a HOF that I can send to that is RELIABLE. I have looked at Musial and Kaline, but they are too streaky for me. Anyone have a HOF suggestion that I could send too? Doesn't have to be free, a fee is ok too.

Thanks in advance. Oh yeah, GO DODGERS!!!!

Doerr, Harvey, and Gillick are about the best for free options.

Fingers, Gossage, Niekro, Perry, and a handfull of others for a small fee.

If I were doing 1 ball I'd go:

    1) Monte Irvin w/HOF inscription for $20 fee
2/3) Doerr or Harvey w/HOF inscription and $0 fee

    or...

    4) I'd send the ball to Harvey w/HOF inscription for $0 fee, turn it around and ship it to Herzog w/HOF inscription for $10-20 fee, turn it around again and ship it off to Dawson w/HOF inscription for $10-20 fee. You'd end up with a nice HOF 2010 ROMLB. I'd send Harvey first though. He has a noticeable reaction when I tried to have him sign my book in Cooperstown last year by Dawson. He asked if it was ok to sign on the top of the next page and of course I said yes. Something wasn't right. I don't think Dawson would have an issue though.

I just got Doerr back the other day, I have Niekro, and Perry as well. Great idea though about hitting up the HOF 2010 class. THanks!

I think Jim Bunning is pretty good signer too. I am going to try him when I get my hands on some ROMLB

Whitey Ford is relatively cheap and carlton fisk is only $40, Brooks Robinson is $35 (I believe)

I think I will send it to Whitey Ford, but the amounts are all over the board. Would $30 be acceptable? I have seen returns as low as $15 and as much as $50.

If you want to increase your chances I would do at least $30

Hell, send it to Bud Selig, he signs fast, and I'm sure he'll be in the Hall after he retires.

Well, thanks everyone for your input. Sent to Whitey Ford, after talking to my gramps, and he about keeled over when I told him I was thinking about sending a ball to Whitey Ford (that was his favorite player on the Yankees), so that made my mind up. Sent the ball with $30. Will post whatever success I get. Keeping my fingers crossed.
