Parise's change of heart?
The New Jersey Devils' march to the Eastern Conference final has given rise to speculation left winger Zach Parise might not depart this summer via free agency after all.
Parise's agent, Wade Arnott, recently told ESPN.com's Craig Custance he's unsure what effect this playoff run will have on his client's off-season plans, but suggested it “probably bodes decently for the Devils.”
Parise, meanwhile, remains non-committal, but over the weekend told the New York Post the Devils current run “means a lot,” adding they have “a lot of good, young players who are going to be here a long time.”

This is what I was scared of after they won their first round series in game 7 against the Panthers. If they would have got bounced, there would be no question he would have left in July. Now, with each game they win, his chances of starting next season donning the winged wheel get slimmer and slimmer.
