Fake Patchs going around.
Does anyone know if any company takes record of numbered cards that involve patch autos were you can confirm the patch auto to see if its the real thing or not? I have recently purchased a card that is a 3 color patch auto that Im not sure of. Example: If u have a card that is numbered 25/50 can you put in the 25 and see if that is the same card. Just wondering on this since there is sooooooooo many a holes in this hobby we have to worry about. If there isnt then companies need to start doing this to SAVE us true collectors.

I don't believe the card companies keep an example. I have not heard but it's probably happened where someone has put a number on a card. The guy in the link I'll send profiles people who change patches.

You could do what this guy does or gets sent and check cards that have been sold on eBay. The problem with that is you can only go back 90 days I believe, so if a card had been bought and sold before that you would not have an example.

Leaf did this for some Ichiro patches they released but that's all that I know of. They posted scans of every card online.
I get what you are saying about patches but they also fake autograph cards and other things so you are never going to get rid of scam artists even if you stopped all patch fakers.Selling all my cards here updated as of July------------> Hidden Content
