Would you prefer to have the NFL's situation instead? Topps and Panini are putting out 18 sets apiece this year.

    Really?!

Houston, we have a serious problem.

well on the bright side.... if UD folds , I fold . I would be out of the hobby and that would save me a fair bit of money I suspect.

If topps gets into cards, it wouldn't be bad at all.

Things like triple threads would be sick in hockey!

But boxes like finest and chrome are pretty much whats already out.

Why would you be out of the hobby? I have been off and on collecting since 1960. I don't buy new boxes, haven't in 7 years, why would you quit?

He made it up. ITG and Panini are going under according to rumours. UD will be the only card company out there. Topps is getting a license back next year.

Actually, it wasn't made up at all. It was posted on another hobby site. I asked the poster if his source was credible and he said it was his LCS owner who used to work at UD and he is usually bang on with his info

As for you, we all know you are a UD lover. We've heard the same garbage from you for years now. If anyone bashes your beloved company, you come running to their defense with absolutely nothing to back it up. It's getting really old, really fast

I was actually told the same thing. Pushed back to July for SPA. Pretty reliable source too. I personally think UD is and Panini is just as bad to a point. I do think some products should be combined with others. But in the end like it's been said before. As long as we pay the price! They will sell it to us. No different then gas prices. OH look! Gas is $3.89 a gallon! Last week it was $4.00! OMG that's cheap now so we better get it! So why would these companies lower gas prices to $2.00 if we just go out and fill up at $3.89???? I know everyone needs gas to go to work but think about it. If you do that and cut back on driving all over then they will start backing up on fuel. THen slowly they will lower the price to get people back on the road to make BILLIONS! But we have to hold our ground and keep off the roads until they get the HINT! Then maybe gas prices will go down around $2 for while if not permanently? Just a thought and I apply this to hobby. I have not bought a single box this year compared to the 12-15 boxes I bought last year. I'm just not impressed with anything enough to spend my hard earned money on boxes. Instead I buy my Skinner cards and move on!

Yeah boxes are not that fun anymore to open, better to spend money on cards instead. I miss the ice and trilogy sets had some interesting cards there would be nice if they combined them in a new redesigned ice or something that would really sell good i think with the /99 ice rookies that were always popular each year and instead they keep pushing out the crap set spx.

I wonder if UD has lost touch with us...I mean..SPGU at 180 box....and I don't think it was received well given the 'hits'. Would make sense to put SPGU off to ENSURE SPA and The Cup are produced on time, given those two being as popular as they are. Just thinking out loud.

SPGU is all sticker autos... very easy for them to produce.

I've said it once I've said it 1000 times. Hockey cards are no longer fun or profitable to bust unless you are busting cases of stuff.
