Paypal question

Ok, I know everyone wants Gift Payment, the person recieving the payment losses no money via gift to paypal right? But the person paying it? Do they get charged? Can u do a gift of 500 without loosing any to paypal for the payer, or reciever? Thanks for any help, hope everyone has a wonderful day!

The buyer never loses anything to paypal anyways.

you can send as much as you want as a gift, the only issue is that you are not protected if the other person does not send what they are suppose to.

If you want to avoid having to do gift payments. Use the paypal fee calculator. That way you can be assured to receive what you want and not lose the fees so to speak.
Example: if you want to get $100 for something, ask the person to send $103.30, then after fees you'll get $100.

I'd stay away from sending or receiving too much gift as people have had their accounts restricted for this. Plus if any issues occur then you can dispute the deal. gift payments your out of luck if something happens.

Also, do u or anyone else know what cut Ebay takes of ur sales, other than your listing fees and what nots?? Wanting to sell something on there for $400+ on there, but not sure how much I loose to Ebay percentage. Thanks ahead of time for any help!

not sure on how much ebay would take, but thats just on the paypal stuff. if your sending or receiving payment. check it out useful tool for sure.

Just send as "payment owed", no fees like a gift and you have protection I believe.. best of both worlds.

The way I understand the "payment owed" method is that no goods are involved jut like the gift. If you used payment owed and then said you didn't get your stuff paypal would say "what stuff?"

Between eBay and Paypal, a seller loses just about 12% due to fees.

As far as eBay goes, they take 3% plus .30 cents.
