The rules were the same for everyone. It's funny to me how people get mad at the strategy THAT WON THE RACE.

i know everyone quote unquote had a chance of winning segment 1, im just mad at nascar, all the hype in this race, speed haveing their all star countdown clock and this was more like the nfl pro bowl rather than an all star race

The All-Star Race rules will never please everyone. That's why they've changed it 20 times in the last 25 years. I'm sure it'll be different again next year.

Why does an All-Star race even need special rules though? Why can't it be a regular race that doesn't have some idiotic segments or inverted field crap?

to be honest, i much rather see the all-star race change venue every year or do it @ daytona or talladega.
