    Am I missing something?

Can someone explain to me why this sold for the price it's listed at?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/180884018019...#ht_500wt_1182

Seem odd to me, but who knows? I could be wrong...

Probably has something to do with the location. The seller is from Abu Dhabi...Either a friend is shill bidding or someone from that country is a HUGE UFC fan.

UAE is one of the world's richest countries. 500 bucks is like pennies for some of the people in Abu Dhabi...world's tallest building is there too, BTW.

You see shrill bidding all the time, but this one was just weird. Random jump to $500? Could be someone who lives there I guess who has more money than they know what to do with.

i would think this is a straight up shill, and they shilled a bidder who may not be legit to begin with.

if you check the bid history, there is only one guy with 89% bid activity for this seller who bid from 100-495 and another 1 feedback guy with 75% bid activity on the seller who eventually won at 500.

without these two, this card wouldve ended at less than $2 (or close to 20-30 if other legit bidders didnt get turned off by the ridiculously high amount).

personally, i wouldnt even consider this sale as legit or a valid comps for future reference.

checked his other items and he has an nba card that i know NO basketball collector in their right mind would buy for a dollar (i was and still am a basketball collector for the longest time before i started my ufc collection last month)

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/99-00-Fleer-...#ht_549wt_1167

and the seller somewhat got it to end at 250!!!

2 bidders battled it out, and surprise, surprise, same two people who went at it for the dan severn.

either this seller has a lot of enemies or he just wanted to throw away his money paying for ebay fees (or just end up cancelling his shill accounts)
