NBA Jam Live
Yesterday I went to NBA Jam Live in Guangzhou. It's like all star celebrity game with Chinese Celebrities with NBA personalities Gary Payton, Horace Grant, DeMar DeRozan, Brandon Jennings.
Along with 3 D-League Players TJ Campbell, LD Williams and Moses Ehambe.
I actually ran into the 3 dleague players near their hotel, i had customs made for them and they seemed happier than I was. I took photos and got their autographs and prepared for the game.
I printed some extra cards for them and gave it to them at the game. They really liked it. They brought them back to the locker room and signed everything I had for them including a photo of me with them.
I also got Horace Grant's autograph and a photo with him.
DeMar DeRozan said later to me the first time, waved the 2nd and ignored the rest of the game including a high positioned NBA staff that tried to call him over for me. I knew the lady who helped for 3 1/2 years.
Brandon Jennings ignored completely and wouldn't sign. My friend called me today and appeared at a court I play at every weekend. My friend got to play with him and I didn't :(. Apparently he said NO AUTOGRAPHS but yes to photos.
Gary Payton kind of ignored.
Fun Game Though

The fact they would travel all the way over there and not sign speaks volumes. That pretty much ends any notion of wanting another Jennings as long as i collect. Same goes for Derozan. Bushleague.

Not surprised with Jennings, he's almost guaranteed every time to be a jerk when it comes to signing autographs. Pretty surprised that DeRozan didn't sign as he's usually cool about signing though.

I read about that event. We were just in Guangzhou, but not at that time. If I was there at the time, I definitely would have gone & tried for Horace Grant & GP. Hope you had fun!
So are you from HK or GZ? Did you take the train to GZ just to go to this? It was my 1st time to China. I loved it. The people in GZ were really nice, and it was interesting to see the different lifestyle from what I'm used to here in California. I also thought it was interesting to see how much China loves the NBA. I mean, c'mon, Javale McGee has his own commercial & ad campaign.
