If I'm leaving work and something is ending before I'm gonna be home, I snipe. If something is ending at 2AM or 5AM (Seriously??? If the seller is in Europe I can see that, but ARIZONA??? WHY ARE YOU ENTERING ITEMS AT 2AM????) I snipe. But if I'm concious and in front of a computer I'll bid on it myself. At 43, it's one of the last rushes I still have in my life hahahahaa........

Ahh the ones that got away. Most infamous one I ever had was a Price Ice Scripted Swatches that sold for $10.50 - I got back from a walk 5 minutes after it ended. Was very disappoint.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

It's true, there are some disadvantages to sniping. The other frustrating one that I'm sure we've all experienced a few times is when you're sitting there watching the final few seconds count down, and then it jumps up way past what your own snipe bid was going to be, and there isn't enough time left for you to to click on the bid box, enter your new high bid, and click the blue button... so you just have to watch the final few seconds tick away in agony. lol What a terrible defeated and helpless feeling, just shaking your head, and exclaiming http://nooooooooooooooo.com/

Why do people wait to bid at the last minute? Get a sniping program to do it for you. They are relatively cheap, and you can set your bid and it bids with seconds left in the auction. No more missed auctions because you slept in, or forgot. And you will likely get whatever money you spent on the snipe program back when you win stuff cheap!

speaking for myself... partially due to laziness, partially because I enjoy the brief cheap adrenaline rush during the final 10 seconds. lol

I missed out on a Stevie Yzerman, MVP/SCE ProSign Auto that went for less than $30.00 which is unheard of, by not paying attention to the time.

I was all set to snipe and sat down and hit refresh, and there was 1 second left.

In the old days of eBay you did not have to hit the "Confirm Bid" like you do now, and it saved you a couple of seconds when you sniped.
