St. John, NB beats the Oil Kings by a convincing 5-2 margin. Oil Kings looked absolutely FLAT.
Great Tournament now. A 4-Way first place tie among all the teams.
This might be the closest tournament in years.

Well, the Oil Kings sure got it handed to them last night. I guess it's another year with a champion coming from east of Manitoba.
I'm rooting for the Knights, but this thing seems completely wide open at this point.

Blood bath is tonight, No way Saint John should have lost the bid to host the Memorial Cup this year, and that's been the first swing in the war over the past 12 months.
The facility and the ice surface sucks, would have been real cozy right here in Saint John. Tonight the Dogs put the final nail in Shawinigans coffin, season. En route to their second straight Cup. Game one vs the Knights was a gift with the Dogs lack of discipline and a good assist by the officials, it won't happen again.

Like I said, the officiating strikes again. Guy gets carved open just under the eye and not one of FOUR officials calls it, result 5 on 4 puck in the net. BS.
Memorial Cup needs to step up their officiating, bring in a few NHL refs who are currently not working due to a reduced NHL schedule, and make sure the tournament is won by the players and not the officials.

A bit late with this as I didn't know we had a Memorial Cup thread.
Congrats to my Edmonton Oil Kings on an amazing year! And Good luck to the 20 year olds Tyler Maxwell, Jordan Peddle and Rhett Rachinski on the rest of your Hockey careers wherever they will be.
Best of luck to the remaining 3.

Should be a good one tonight. London has a ton of talent, but they're also a really young team.

Congrats to the Cats; the Dogs just didn't have it last night. I don't think Saint John will have another team like the one they've had the past three years for a long, long time.
Huberdeau, Coyle, Phillips and likely Beaulieu will turn pro next season. I'm not sure about Galiev or Jurco. Gauthier is too old and Corbeil is too old. As a Wild fan, I'm really excited about what Coyle and Phillips can bring to our goal-starved team.

No after watching the officiating in the round robin, I wouldn't dare. It would be like betting at the local horse track and watching the favorite pulling back on the reigns the final stretch so the barns can cash in on the underdog.

It's going to be a dandy of a game tonight. I think Shawinigan is going to take it.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...
