Tip: I'm 0/6 on New York Rangers in the last 2 years. They only send back your cards, MSG issued picture cards and "insert name here" fan letters, but these letters are "personalized" for each player (ie Ryan Callahan has his own template, Hank has his own....Cally's people sends his on nicer paper lol etc) .
And don't always go for the "big names", smaller role players tend to sign more (as expected lol). Retired players who coach are also a fun source.

thanks for the heads up. For now I'm going to stick to HoF'ers that have good results on the TTM Manager, and former Sabres that I can look at in the TTM Manager as well, and some randoms from other sports like golf and tennisPlease check my inventory before my photobucket!!! It's more up to date!!!
Looking for LPGA GOLFERS and BUFFALO SABRES

Def add a personal letter, Ive been doing TTM for about 10 years now, and the SASE is a must. Ive had successes from Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Marty St. Louis, Lidstrom, and some enforcers. Crosby and Ovy dont sign TTM really ever, but some big names do so always worth a try, only costs two stamps!

I always make sure to hand write and personalize the letter. For active players I always make mention of a recent "highlight-worthy" event, such as a GWG or point milestone. I've been pretty happy with my returns so far. Best of luck to ya!

Always added a little something more personal in the letter.
Only sent 4 out so far and had 2 returned (John LeClair and Mika Zibanejad).
