    Gaborik Rookie Card Question

Two of them actually, any help is greatly appreciated.

    1. What is the staple (must have) rookie card for the Gaborik collector?

    2. What is the best/most valuable Gaborik rookie card?

    Thanks,

    Dakota

"staple" is a tough one here.

If you look at what three cards are currently considered to the be the "staple" rookies each year, it would be Upper Deck Young Guns, SP Authentic Future Watch Autos, and Cup Auto/Patch Rookies.

The only one of those that exists for Gaborik is the Young Guns RC. There is an SPA RC of him, it's #/900, but it has no auto.

(on that topic, I don't believe that he has any rookie cards that are auto'd).

The most valuable? I would suggest the Titanium /99

    I agree

At the time (and still now in my opinion) is the Titanium /99. They where hard to find and a lot of people tried to do the sets.

For the first 4 years, the Black Diamond was coveted. It has fallen in price by more than 1/3.

Unfortunately when Heatley and his cards took a dive, so did Gaboriks. The Titanium is probably the hardest to find. I haven't seen one in years.

A highly graded UD Pros and Prospects is never a bad bet as well.

    Titanium /99 for sure.
