okay so here is what im doing to send my first baseball ttm.
obviously write the letter, im using 2 8x10 envelopes, fold the return one in half, use about 5-6 .44 cents stamps on the return and put it in the outgoing along with the letter and ball. the outgoing should have about 6 .44 cent stamps, right?

please lmk if i have my postage correct, thanks

I usually put 3.00 in postage to be safe. If you want to be exact, don't seal it until the post office wieggd it for you and that way you can add postage if need be

Never sent a baseball, but whenever I do something like this, and I feel it's important, I go down to the post office myself and make sure it's all correct.

    Better safe than sorry.

I bought a small scale from STAPLES ($30). I weigh my packages before I send out. You can find a cost list on USPS website per oz. Anything that is more than a 1/4 think add $.20 cents to the total cost to ship. This is because they cant process it thru the sorter.

I mail baseballs to people who buy them from me all the time. Through the paypal shipping application, https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_ship-now, I use 8 oz. first class and it is $2.64, I think. That includes delivery confirmation.

Sign into paypal after clicking the link and it will bring up a shipping page.

I have no idea what you are asking or don't understand. 8 ounces is half of a pound. The link I posted has you enter the weight in ounces and pounds. No fractions. You use your Paypal account, so you pay online and print out the postage.

just go to the post office. i guarantee you they will give you an answer for all of your postage questions. take your stuff, get it weighted and priced. write down what the prices are, then buy stamps so you dont have to go back for awhile
