    Rackrs verified

Most of us are familiar with the rackrs autograph cards that can be used for IP and TTM autos. There is also a section on the rackrs site called rackrs verified. For about $6 you can send in any rackrs on card auto (only rackrs no other cards or items) and they will certify the auto if they feel it is legit, place a hologram on the card and provide a COA that can be checked online. I know that PSA/DNA is the standard in autograph authentication but is this rackrs verified legit and would you trust buying autos from them or buying or trading for an auto from someone else that was rackrs verified or certified? Any imput is appreciated.

That is laughable. As far as I know Rackrs is just a couple of collectors like you and me who had a good idea to replace blank index cards. Third party is laughable to start with, but this is just ridiculous.

Edit: Even better is they mail you the sticker to put on the card yourself? LOL. What is stopping anyone from putting the sticker for their authentic card on a card they forged?

It is funny how the TTM market has grown enough to now be targeted for things like this. Custom cards and even the ability to get just their customs verified. WOW! To me seeing things like this is funny. I will say that I have a good number of cards that I would love to have certified, but the truth is that cost wise it never makes it worth it. What PSA charges is a joke! Most stars and HOF members would never bring an ebay price on a PSA certified card that was obtained IP/TTM that would match the fee! Rackrs? The fee is nice, but only doing their cards is just a ploy to sell more customs nd I would view their certifications as just a marketing attempt. Please explain to me what makes them qualified to certify your cards? I would ask you one question are you more likely to pay more for a card that has their certification than one that does not? A common Pete Rose signed card runs like $5-10 on ebay? A PSA certified one runs like $25? Rackers well currently there are no Rackers certified cards at all on ebay, but would you pay more than the $5-10 for a Rackrs certified Rackrs custom of Pete Rose? Seriously I would met sooner do my own comparison of another autographed Pete Rose card and spend my $6 on a signed 1987 Topps Pete Rose that looked good to me. I used Rose as he has not signed well for free for a number of years, you pick the stars name and give it a look!
