Not really Panini's fault that they wont have it this year. Because of the NBA lockout, Panini could not start making new products until after the lockout (late december). So they chose to make other products, maybe it will be back next season?

it is their fault haha, they could've pulled the trigger and released a couple more sets. after all they did release a couple this year.. Allthough not sure about signing rookies under a lock-out, the lock-out took place after the draft right? they are so fast with everything else.....

Yeah players could not take part in official team events. Draft was on june 23rd, and lockout started july 1st, so not much room between that. Plus officially the rookies that were drafted werent even on a team, because they had not signed their rookie contracts yet.
They probably skipped Certified because it relies to heavily on rookie stuff, almost every auto you hit from that product is a rookie auto, same with Prestige, R&S and Threads. Thats why im really curious what they will do with this years 11-12 Limited, because that has also been a product these last 2 years that is mostly about rookie autos an GU.
I think we can be glad they didnt and will not release more 11-12 sets than they are doing now. Would have only meant much more redemptions and a ton of 2nd year autos from last seasons rookie scrubs!
