My favourite memory was wehen my dad bought me my first hockey card. Neither of us knew much about cards then, but I saw an Antropv jersey card, my favourite player and he bought it for me! He over paid quite a bit but we didn't know what is worth, and it didn't really matter. I still have that card and I will have it for quite awhile longer yet!

When I was younger, I would do chores and earn $3 a week. I was interested in sports, watching them on TV ALL day long. My dad to me to a comic book store, which they had baseball cards. I bought 1 pack each week there, and spent all my birthday money there as well. I probally spent about $300 in that store, whithout hitting a relic or auto. I decided to go to target and buy cards there, and I got my first relic card! I was so happy, and thats what triggered me to start the hobby.
Thanks for reading everyone,

My favorite moment was in 1995 with my father at this newly open card shop outside my neighborhood. The top 20 people in line for the grand opening got the chance to go in and buy 1 card half price. Since I loved Hakeem Olajuwon at the time, my dad bought me a autograph rc. It was pretty expensive but it was half off. Such a great time and moment in my life that i will cherish forever.

When I was a kid, I'd spend Saturdays over the summer working for my dad in his optical store for $20/day + lunch + $5 to spend at the card shop. We'd make a stop on the way home from work at the baseball card store & pick up a few packs of cards. Then, we'd get home, tear into them, and proceed to do some trading between my brother & me. Some of the best memories I'll ever have as a kid... and we ended up with loads of mid 80's Topps, Donruss, & Leaf as a result.

My favorite story with my dad came when we went to a garage sale and there was a big box of cards that was being sold for $15. There were about 1000 cards in the box and there was no way for us to tell what exactly we had in the box until we went through it all. Well turns out that we did pretty well, as it was stacked with vintage cards from the 60s. It took us like 5 hours to go through each card in the box, but it was fun the entire time. Every time there was a player who stood out, we took a moment to talk about what we liked about the player and what made him valuable in our eyes. Definitely one of the best days I've ever had.
