Prediciment Question
I have a prediciment of assort, wanna know your guys' thoughts.
My old HS teammate (I was an equipment manager) was drafted by the Redskins, I wanted to send him some cards to get signed, but since he went to a small school (South Dakota) they didn't make any of him. So I'm gonna send a photo. Anyways was getting everything ready to send off tomorrow when I got an idea. Throw in an RG III rookie card and see if he can hook me up.
Most people would say to just send to RG III himself, but I doubt he will sign TTM C/O the Skins for awhile, if ever, just cause he will be so swamped with requests and it's a sick card I don't wanna risk losing (sending it to a 6th round OL is safe, imo. Worse comes to worse I get it back unsigned). Plus Washington isn't coming to MN this year or anytime soon, probably. So this argument has me saying "Yes do it!"
On the other hand I don't want it to seem like I just sent to him to have him get RG III for me, cause even though I'd be having him get RG III for me, I legit was going to send to him anyways for my "Rosemount pros" collection (We don't have many lol). So Idk what to do, now. I may put off sending it a couple days to think about it.
What do you guys think? What would you do in my shoes? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Send your stuff of him, and along with that write a letter asking if you can send back to him with the RGIII stuff. Ask a favor. If he says yes, cool. If no, at least you took a shot and still got his auto.

I think it depends on how well you know him. If you were just acquaintances then it would be a different scenario then if you are on a 'first name basis'. ..

We aren't like best friends or anything lol, but I am on a first name basis with him. It's not like he doesn't remember me or anything, for sure. Haha

I wouldn't do it. He may take offense and then you won't be on a first name basis anymore. As it stands now, you're cool w/ a NFL player. I'd be happy with that. Maybe keep building the relationship with him, then a year or two, ask for the Griffin.

Most ballplayers don't like getting ttm requests for their teamates. They feel like they are being used to get to a bigger star.
