    Hi all

Hi folks. I'm new to the forums and looking to meet some nice vintage collectors out there. I have a small vintage collection, mostly early 50's bowman and Topps, and lots of Mantles and Yankees. I have been considering acquiring some pre-war cards, but haven't figured out exactly what I want or how much I should spend on that projects.

    Thanks!

    Miguel

Ah great! Another vintage collector! I collect pre-war (right now i'm working on the T201 Mecca Double Folders Set, its a great overlooked/underpriced set, you can get the commons in presentable condition for less than $40) I also collect a bit of newer Topps stuff, mostly early 60s. If you don't mind me asking, which 50s Bowman Mantle's do you have? Those are great cards!

    Hi!

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately I don't have any 50's Bowman mantles except a tri-player card with Mantle/Berra/Bauer from 1953 Bowman color. Other Yankees I have from the 53 Bowman color set are Billy Martin and Whitey Ford. All my other mantles are later or from Topps (If I recall, I have a 58 Topps all star, 59 topps, and a number of Topps cards from the 60's.). I've got a few of these cards in for grading, and then I'm going to put some on my site.

    Thanks!

Ah very cool. The 53 Bowman color is a nice looking set. Regarding pre-war cards there's an awesome forum for them over here http://www.network54.com/Forum/153652/
