    Inscriptions on cards

I got a couple of questions for the group? What are some of the interesting inscriptions that you have got on autos. Also if you are at a ballgame or somewhere getting a free auto from a ballplayer or other star is it cool to ask for an inscription. Since I am a vegetarian I am trying to get any ballplayer who is vegetarian/vegan to write GO VEGAN or their autos. Also if you have a certified auto of someone and you get the chance to meet them in person and get their auto would you have them inscribe to certified auto for you? What do ya'll think?

I've asked for inscriptions a few times in person- some guys will do it, though most of the big names are under contract for their bigger inscriptions (i.e. pedroia wouldn't sign the MVP both times I've gotten him in person, etc).

But like for instance this year I got Chris Coghlan on a rookie of the year card, and asked him to do a ROY inscription and he did write ROY under his name.

Normally I'm getting baseballs done though, so I just feel weird asking 2 questions of the athlete, because you HAVE to ask him to sweet spot, so it just feels like ungrateful to be like:

    "mr X can you sign?"
    "sure"
"can you sweet spot my ball?"
    "sure"
"can you inscribe 2011 all star?"

that 3rd question just feels a bit much.

Still, for cards 8x10s and whatever go nuts, and I think that guys may be more likely to sign cool "over the top" inscriptions like your vegan one, because they know it's not for resale then. Just make sure the player isn't in a huge crowd like getting swamped at a ball game or something. Then I'd just take the graph and be happy.

Hope this helps, it was kinda rambly.
