Do Flyers regret trading Richards, Carter?

Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Braydon Coburn found a temporary escape from his hockey season ending sooner than he'd hoped by moving his wife and 8-month-old daughter into a summer cottage in a wooded area 20 miles outside of Calgary.

Not at all, they had enough years with Richards and Carter where they didn't win anything. Going back and not getting rid of those players wouldn't guarantee they would have any more playoff success than they did

    For:

    Voracek
    Couterier
    Simmonds
    Schenn
    2011 3rd RD pick(Nick Cousins)
    2012 2nd RD pick

Right now.. maybe but in the long run no. That's a great crop of young talent right there. It's like recylcing, the prime aged for the young guns. Just my thought.

Carter was great in the Playoffs, but Richards was no screaming hell. Once Salvador gave him a slap in the face, he disappeared in the final.

    Overrated.

    Poor man's Wayne Simmonds.

I would say at the moment, they regret it, but with the talent they received, I think they will not regret it later on. I do feel bad for Simmonds though, he was one of my favorites.

(Side note: I also feel REALLY bad for Jack Johnson)

They didn't regret getting rid of Carter's 10 year contract.

i kinda think along the same line as cfagent0. Jack Johnson, wayne simmonds i liked alot and found them to be core members of the kings. I loved Schenn and rooted for him every time they got the 10 games to prove themselves at the begining of the season. But, yea, i dont think they mind it, like someone said earlier, philly had along time with those guys and never did anything. Lucky for us, one of them made a dent in the SC run.

I personally like the return they got better than I like Carter/Richards. You replace Voracek, Simmonds and Cotourier with Carter and Richards and I don't think it makes a difference. Philly isn't going to win the Cup with Bryzgalov and Bobrovsky.
